The MultiDark Planck 2 simulation SAG Galaxy files (September 2017) 

These galaxy catalogs contain galaxy properties from the SAG (semi-analytical) code [Cora, S.A. et al., 2018](https://arxiv.org/abs/1801.03883). [SAG table description](https://www.cosmosim.org/metadata/mdpl2/sag/)

Most simulations published here do not take hydrodynamics and star formation into account. However, given a catalog of dark matter halos and their merging histories, it is possible to compute properties of galaxies that would reside in these dark matter halos using semi-analytical recipes. MDPL2 belongs to the series of MultiDark simulations with Planck cosmology. It is kin to the MDPL simulation, with the same box size, cosmological parameters and particle resolution, but a different initial seed. These tables are based on the MDPL2.Rockstar dark matter halo catalog and the merger tree information therein.
